The Manchester Rifles will parade for inspection on Friday, the 13th^ instant. A meeting of the Council of the corps wa§ held on Saturday last when, among other business, it was resolved that for the future fines would be inflicted, without respect of persons, on all those who are absent from capitation parades without leare or a medical certificate. Lieut. Ligertwood has been gazetted to the Palmerston Rifles. The recruits who lately joined the Manchester Rifles are drilled on Tuesday and Thursday evenings by Sergts. Fogies and Chamberlain. They are improving rapidly.
