At Normanton, all foreigners, including French, Italians, Spaniards, Chinese, and Negroes, have been placed on a hulk in the harbor for safety from the infuriated Englishmen. A party of horsemen scoured the country, and drove back, like cattle, 40 colored persons who had fled from the town, and these were also placed on the hulk. A perfect panic prevailed, but affairs are now quieting down.
