• By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. I_P«SR UNITED PHESS ASSOCIATION.] New Yobk. March 3. The American Tariff Bill has been | introduced in the House of Representatives. It provides for a reduction of the iariff by fifty-five millions, including seventeen and a quarter millions on woollens and eleven millions on sugar. After the Ist of July next all wools are to be admitted free of duty to the United States. The Bill also provides that flax and hemp shall be admitted free of duty. It is gener.illy considered probable that the Bi 1 will prove acceptable to the House of Representatives, but that it is doubtful if the Senate will pass it.
