Bathers Attacked by a Shark

(PER TOJITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Oamaeu, Februarj 17. A number of bathers were attacked this morning by a shark 10 feet long,. 20 yards from the shore. One of the party, David Grant, a carter, was seized just above the elbow, but managed to extricate himself after the monster had taken away all the main arteries, nerves, &c, of the arm. The other members of the party went to his assistance and brought him out in an exhausted condition. It has been found necessary to amputate the arm, Several sharks were seen close in shore.
