SATURDAY. ; (Before his Henor Judge Rawson.) _ W. EL R. Flyger appeared for, examination in Bankruptcy. Mr Hankins for debtor. The D.O. A. examined him as to th«r statement of liabilities in the joint estate of Downes and Flyger, and as to the discrepancy between the twofiled statements. The debtor said h» had excluded all amounts for which orders had been given, though h» could not say if they had been paid. Examination closed to come up for discharge. Robert Parr was next called. Mr Sandilands for the debtor. Mr Hankins for W. T. Wood a creditor. By Mr Hankins: Commenced business in P^lpaerston on December 1885, was in business in Feilding previously ; started with £100 clear ; my previous partner in Sandon having to supply me with material at the rate of £20 per month up to the amount of £100 j was bankrupt 9 years ago when there was an investigation; kept no banking account ; discontinued business m Palmerston about January 1887*; could not give an idea of what cash I received while in Palmerston ; a small book that the items were entered in is lost. Mr Hankins then read over different amouuts that had been paid to the debtor amounting to about £530 ; did not bank any money. There -was stock in the shop previous to my filing which I sold to Jenseß and got £19 for it, that is what I filed with ; I never asked for the book that is lost till last week ; Mr Wood did make an offer to get the books properly kept ; I cannot write myself,, my son has kept the books.

By Mr Sandilands : I had opposition in Feilding and Palmerston, the moneX paid me had to pay for material, the balance had been spent for living expenses, &c. ; had no money left ; can-, not write, only just my name ; thought the books were kept right; could not have told whether they were or not; broke my leg and was laid up for 3 months ; my wife had also been in ill health, and had lost three children; a creditor took out a distress warrant so I had to file; if I had not been pressed 1 would have made some arrangements. Examination declared closed and an order for costs against the estate granted. The Court then adjourned.—Standards
