Worship tfie Mayor presided. Mr Stevens kept up the interest of his audience for. upwards of an hour in citing from and reviewing this^ singular stbryi He wag greatly aided by' views from the book shown up in" life ai2e by- the magic lantern, Mr G-. W/Fowies being the operator. The proceeds were in aid' of the Presbyterian Manse Fund," and- this must have' been considerably augmented by last night's entertainment, the great fin&ncialTsuccess of which is mainly due to Mr Stevens' indefatigabis efforts to make it such.
