A Jubillee Suggestion

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — I see there are several suggestions made re the Jubilee celebration in this town, will you allow me through the columns of your valuable paper to make another. I think the best way to celebrate the event here would be to try and remove the eyesore to our Borough by putting a chain fence round the plots iv Manchester Square (which would remove the unsightly tracks made by traps, etc.) and planting it with a few ornamental trees, also to erect a band kiosk in the centre of one of the plots. The bands then would have encouragement to play out more often if a place of that description was built. — I am, &c, PrOGBESS.
