[PElt UNITED PBKBB ASSOCIATION.] Auckland. April 7. Kenatn Tangato, a Maori minister died at Mongonui this morning, from the effect of eating tinned meat at Auckland on Sunday last. He was ministpr residing at Perm, near Montjonui, for a number of years up till this morning. Mrs Clarke's life is considered m dan ger. She is not apparently netting beU tor. Dunkdin April 8. A total isn tor case in which William Stuart sought to recover £2, money inrested in the totalizator at the last race meeting, was commenced yesterday, but after taking some evidence the case was adjourned. Wellington, April 7. The workmen engaged in excayatjng a building site on Lambton Quay unearthed portions of a human skeleton to-day. CHBisTcmrcH, April 7. About 450 North Canterbury Volunteers left by train for St Andrew's Encampment to-night. This total includes a working party, and 35 members of a cavalry corps, who left this morning. The district will be represented by over 500 men.
