The Times of to-day states that the following subjects will be discussed at the Imperial Conference : — The defences of the Australian ports and of the Torres Straits, the erection of coaling stations, the laying of cables between Great Britain and the colonies, the subsidising of cable companies, the provision of harbors, the supplying of armed cruisers in the Pacific, the increase of the colonial naval squadron, the creating of facilities for officers of the Imperial armies serving in the colonies, the relations with foreign Powers and their connection with English colonies, the postal ordinances, the provision of greater facilities for saving life at sea, the ratification of \ colonial judgments, the marriage with deceased wife's sister, and thd simul- 1 taueous census of the entire Empire.
