ASHHUEST v. MANGOANE

A cricket match was played on Saturday last at Ashhurst between the Mangaone and the local team. In the first innings Ashhurst put together 19 runs, and Mangoaue 78. In the second innings Ashhurst made 31, and Mangoane 29, the Mangaone men thus winning the match with 57 runs to spare. The bowling of G. Pringle and Mexted, of the Mangoane team, was very effective. The captain of the Ashhurst team, Mr Freeman, played his best, but his men showed want of practice. The combined teams will shortly challenge Feilding. j The following are the scores : —
