Fisk Jubilee Singers
It will be seen by advertisement that the above company will give a performance in the Public Hall on Monday next. Writing on this subject the Napier Telegraph says : — "lt speaks well for the popularity of the Fisk Jubilee Singers that on their return to Napier last night the largest audience, with the exception of their opening: night, they have had in Napier, should have assembled to welcome them back. The same pleasing features that have distinguished all their performances were again marked. Each item was in beautiful harmony, sung with feeling and fervor, and the audience parted with them with regret, feeling, as Mr Londin put it, they were not likely to meet again in Napier." The Napier News of the same date remarks : — "The Jubilee Singers had a capital house last night for their farewell concert, as good a one as they had during the season, and applause ajid encores were the order of the night." Several ladies and gentlemen in IPeilding have already heard the Singers, and speak of them in the highest terms of praise.
