The Recent Strange Death in Wellington
[PBB UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
WBttiNGTON, November 21
The, rumours that were circulated in towii yesterday — that a woman was mixed up in the Andrews burning case — are incorrect. It appears tiaat the patient now in the hospital ie a domestic servant named Margaret Grimstone, 30 years of age, who was «mployed at Smith's Porirua Hotel Porirua. She states that one evening last week a gust of wind blew the curtain on to a candle in her bedroom and while extinguishing the blaze the sleeve of her dress caught fire, and her right arm was burnt from the elbow to top of the shoulder, but the injuries are not, serious. Her statement has been corroborted by others who were at the hotel, and any connection with the Andrews affair is disbelieved.
