Willmott'S Comedy Company
The above company appeared at the Pubfie Y5&2. last evening to a^ very good audience, taking into consideration the very short notice given. The comedy "Tangled" was played for the first lime on any stage in the colonies, and was certainly a treat. Our old fnend Frank Willmott was in hi* element, and gave a splendid conception of Sunonodiea Swanhopper (the model young bachelor). Mr Herman was also good. Mrs Willmott as Matilda Jane, the over-dressed and stuck-up servant maid, provoked roars of laughter, and Cicely in the hands of Miss Lyndsey left nothing to be desired. The remainder of the characters wore well filled. Daring the interval Blondin gave a performance on an invisible wire, which was much applauded. The farce " Jealously," in which Mrs Willmott as Popsy kept the audience screaming with laughter, brought a very enjoyable evening's entertainment to a , close. For this evening a host of novelties are announced, and as it is now thoroughly understood there is to be a show, a good house is anticipated.
