SPECIAL MEETING.

A special meeting was thea held for the purpose of adopting the Local Bodies Loan Act.

Proposed by Mr Williamson, seconded by Mr Bruce, That the Local Bodies Loan Act be|adopted generally in the Kiwitea Road Board District. — Carried. The Board then resumed the ordinary sitting. Proposed by Mr Taylor, seconded by Mr Williamson, That application ; be made under the Local Bodies Loan Act, 1886, for a loan of £3,000, to be expended on Kimbolton, Cheltenham, McKays, Valley, Zigzag, and Finnis roads.— Carried. Proposed by Mr Williamson, seconded bj Mr Taylor, That the Engineer lay off works on Williamson's road for formation, metalling, and culverting to . the extent of £100, the tenders to be in by next meeting. — Carded. Aoeounts amounting to £63 2s 4d were passed lor payment, and the meeting then adjourned.
