Ruapehu, Captain Greenstreet, arrived here from Plymouth at 10.30 o'clock «n Saturday morning, after a passage of 40 days 4 hoars and 50 minutes. She brings 179 bags of mails, and 195 passengers for all ports. After transhipping 99 bags of mails and 113 passengers fur Dunedin she pioceeded again for Wellington. The passengers hare presented Captain Greenstreet with a testimonial and a purse of sovereigns. Palmebston, September 13. The first horse parade, held under the auspices of the Manawatu Agr cultural and Pastoral Association on Saturday last, was well attended. Fifteen horses of both classes were entered, and these included some first clans sirei.
