Liberte, in an article to-day on the New Hebrides question, insists that the occupation tf those islands by the French troops is temporary, and states that the forces will be withdrawn when their presence there is unnecessary in the interests of the French •ufejects resident in the New Hebrides.
London, August 13. Le National and other French journals express the opinion that Australia had better recognise that France will not evaouate the New Hebrides.
