Mr Mathew Burnett

On Thursday and Friday erenings Mr Mathew Burnett will lecture on temperance in the Town Hall. Mr Macarthur, M.H.8., will preside on Thursday, and Mr Lethbridge, the Mayor, on Friday evening. Mr Burnett lias been singularly successful in bis career as a temperance lecturer, having done an immense amount of good in reclaiming confirmed drunkards and making them useful members of society. Although Feilding may be called one of the greatest strongholds of temperance in the whole colony, in proportion to the number of its inhabitants, yet we have instances continually before us, where the influence of a like Mr Burnett may make itself felt with great advantage.
