Government Insurance

Gbeymouth, July 12,

A meeting of policyholders in the Government Insurance Association was held in the Town HaU to discuss the proposals set forth in the voting papers. The chairman moved That the conduct of the association be returned to the Government. A number spoke but aU were in favour of the Government again assuming, control, and the resolution was carried unanimously. A copy of the resolution was ordered to be telegraphed to the Colonial Treasurer.

The names of the Feilding footbalf team to play against Foxton on the Oval on Saturday afternoon next at 2.30 p.m* are :— Forwards s Gilmer, Terry, Evans, Whisker, Hartgill, Manning, Gregory, Mountfort, C. Thompson, and Say well ; backs : Roe, Gurney, '1 hompson, Parr, Broughton, and C. Hale mbe ; emergencies: Belfit and Wilis: er. Playera are requested to roll up to practice on the Oral every evening at 4 o'clock, as this is a Cup match.
