FEILDING BACES,
(Sporting Notes by Sia Aubrey.) The acceptances for the Feilding meeting haye been far better than I could have expected, considering the handicaps, but this is no doubt partly due to the very light final payments exacted by the Feilding Jockey Club, and I think that if some of the neighboring clubs were to follow their example in this respoct, thoy would find there would be far better fields. Out of twelve nominated for the Hurdlea tea have cried content, Ngahtoa and Kangaroo being the only absentees ; the former, after the weights came out being one of my solectionn, I shall take the Druid instead, placing them in the following order : — Patent Safety 1 Onepu . . . . . . . . . . 2 Druid 3 The Maiden with 17 entries ought to furnish one of the best races of the day, and I think the winner will be found in Poppy . . . . . ■ • . . 1 J. L. Sullivan 2 Parawenui . . . . . . . . 3 In the Handicap nine out of ten have accepted, Germaine being the only one who has fallen out. I still fancy my former picks : — Bayard . . . . . . . . . . 1 Lady Artist . . . . ■ . . 2 Landseor . . . . . . . . 3 In the District, Waitupatia ia the only absentee, and I shall place them thus — Parvenu . . . . . . . . . . 1 Hagar 2 Germaine . . . . • . . . 3 In the Winter Oats J. L. Sullivan, Lady Maude, and Morpheus are the only ones that are dissatisfied, and I shall tip the following Hagar 1 Landseer . . . . . . . . . . 2 Goth 3 I see that the club have added a Hack Selling Race to the programme. From what I know of the local hacks I should think Paleface ought to go vory close to it, unless there are some good ones coming from a distance. Tips by "Spur." HFBDLBB. J. L.
