EKUTEB'a TELKGBAMB.I Keceived April 3, 1.25 a.m. Sydney, April 2. In the Legislative Assembly to«day, Sir Henry Parkas brought forward a motion having reference to the attitude of New South Wales on the New Hebrides quewtion. Sir Patrick Jennings, on behalf of the Government, stated the motion was taken as a vote of censure, and he refused to deliver the budget statement until the question was settled. The House adjourned until Tuesday next. The deficiency due by Mr Holt to the Bank of New Zealand is stated to be about £11,000, which will be corertsd by his private estate. His liabilities are estimated at £35,000. It is the intention of the bank to commence a proseoution against him. His whereabouts aro believed to be known. Forty-three horses have accepted for the Sjdnoy Cup. The quarterly revenue re I urns published today, shew that the total revenue amounted to £1,630,000, a decrease on the correspondent period of 1885. of £9,600. Customs and Excise shew an in* crease while the land revenue has decreased. The question of payment of members came before the Legislative Assembly last night, when a resolution affirming the principle of such payment, waa carried by 42 rotes to 19. Hobajbt, April 2. The Union Company's Ringarooma. which arrived here from the Bluff, reports, having encountered rery severe weather. On the voyage four rattle died. Apassenr ger named Marsden, who oame from Wellington, slipped from the gangway, and falling overboard, was drowned.
