[PBB UNITED PBBBB ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, April 2. The postmaster at Queensland and a shepherd left for Martin's Bay about a month ago overland, and it has been as* certamed that they hare not arrived. A search party is being organised at Queen--8 town. Lawrence White was sentenced by ifo Port Chalmers Bench to 10 days solitary confinement for mutinous conduct in gaol. Wellington, April 2. Mr John Grubb is gazetted assistant inspector of post offices for the colony. . The following are the resnlts of con version to the 31 st March, cabled by the Agent- General :— Of the consolidated loan of 1867 the amount brought in for con. version is £589,600. Of the 4^ per cent four- thirties called in for payment by "X months' notice, £1,876,800 has been brought in for conversion. A private cable received to day announces the death of Major Levin, brother to Mr W. H. Levin, merchant, i of Wellington. Messrs W. M. Ballantine and Co.. of Wellington, have received from Messrs Trapp and Ellis, of Sydney, tho following telegram : — " The market is completely glutted with butter. We do not look for any improvement for some time."
