Feilding Jockey Club
A meeting of the stewards was held ™ in Mr Hastie's hotel on Saturday night. There was a full attendance. A large amount of formal business was transacted, and a sub committee appointed to deal with the course, and matters connected with it. The following important resolution was passed : — That in order to prevent the gross abuse of free passes lately carried on at race meetings at Feilding, in future no passes should be given to privilege purchasers, who wifi hare to bear in mind this fact when they buy their booths, or whatever it : majrbe. Two tickets will be given for each totalisator in place of four, and each horse-owner will get two for his first horse, and one each for every 'other he is running. It is considered that this will tend to do away with the transfer of tickets, which has been carried on fof years past " to a ruinous extent. This is a rule adopted from » resolution passed by the Wanganui J.C. on Friday last. ~
