[REUTERS TELKOBAMB.J Received February 11, noon. Sidney, This Daj. Sir John Robertson, Premier of New South Wales, received a telegram from Sir John Mac Donald, Premier of Canada, stating the Canadian Government was desirous ot a conference with the Governments of New South Wales and New Zealand on the feasibility of establishing a mail between the three countries, having a terminus at British Colombia.
Melbourne, February 10. Arrived this morning—The Watrarapa from the Bluff. The Kotomahana left this afternoon for the Bluff. It is reported that Nordenfeldt strained his fore-leg while training, and it is doubtful whether he will come to the post for any of the events for which he is entered at the approaching V.R.C. meeting. >ew South Wales and South Australia are joining the other colonies in their protest against any EYeaca occupation in the New Hebrides. Sydney, February 9. In the Legislative Assembly to day Mr Garran gave notice that he will more to«morrow that the policy of the Govern meat dues not satisfy the House. Hobabt, February 9. The Arawa left this afternoon for New 1 Zealand. Tho Tasmanian Government have defi nitely refused to increase the subsidy by that colony to the Eastern Extension Cable Company.
