[PEB UNITED PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, February 10. A boy, 4 years of age, named Simon Milliagton, was run over by a tram car at Ponsonby, and instantaneously killed. He sot confused and ran Cpa»t in trout of the horses, and was knocked down and the wheel crushed his head. The Magellan Cloud, which arrived today, was placed in quarantine ewing to Brisbane being an infected port. Captain Matthews states that there was no contagions disease at Brisbane when he left. Mr Glover closed his temperance mission to-night, when the Threatre Royal was crowded. He leaves for Wellington by the Tarawera. Wellington, This Day. The natives of Parihnka are busily engaged in making, throigh the pa, a r»ad which will join the Governmeat road, and by construction of that road the sanitary condition of the pa will be improved. Te Whetu, who was a leader of the fencing obstruction in 1881 is one of the principal workers on the roid.
