BEUTEB'S TELEGEAMB.I Received February 9, 1*15 a.m. London, February 10. Earl Granville, Secretary, and Mr Osborne Morgan, Under* Secretary tor the Colonies, reeired the Agents« General today. Lord Granville addressing them, stated he highly valued their advice on i olonial affairs, and expressed a hope he would often see them. Mr Heally and Mr Biggar are opposing the candidature of .Mr O'Shea, Mr Parnell's nominee for Galway, but owing to pressure having been brought to bear on him, Mr Heally reluctantly consented to withdraw his opposition. Intelligence is to hand that the ship Norway, which left Sydney on November 22 for Marseilles, has been burned at sea. The crew were rescued, and have been landed at Pernambuco. At to-day's wool sales 7.900 bales were submitted to a dull market. London, February 9. Mr John Naish, Q.C., Solicitor-Gene-ral of Ireland in the last Gladstone Ministry has been appointed Lord Chancellor of Ireland. At to-day's wool tales 11,200 bales n ere catalogued, the market being weaker. The second series of auctions will opeii on the 23rd of March, the quantity offered being limited to 275,000 bales. The Coptic arrived at Plymouth, yesterday afternoon. Her meat was in good condition. Obituary —Mr Madden formerly Colonial Secretary of Western Australia. Sir Charles W. Dilke in his address to his constituents, calls attention to Samoa. It is reported that Mr Gladstone has promised to indemnify Greece in future. The re-election of Mr John Morley, Chief Secretary for Ireland, and Mr Ohas. Russell, Attorney-General, is being opposed. A mob in Washington Territory United States, forced somo hundreds of Chinese to embark. The Governor assisted the mob by detaining a steamer.
