Fatal Accident at Nelson
[PER VSITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Neisox, January 21. Mr William Tonilinson, master of the Auckland College, and son-in-law of the late Samuel KingcLbn, of' this: city, went out this morning with a double-barrelled gun, intending to shoot gulls. He was accompanied byj his little son, aged about 12, and in climbing up the hill on the Wakapuaka road He slipped, when the gun .(a breechloader) , exploded, and : tb.e shot, from the cartridge entered his body like a bullet. He ■ was shot, right through the heart and, fell dead. At the inquest the jury returned a verdict that death was caused by a gun-shot wound, accidentally received while he hfiid a gun in his hands t Deceased was well known and esteemed here, and great sympathy is felt for. his family. ;, ; , s
