Sad Accident Near Christchurch

A CHILD BURNED TO DEATH.

LPBE UNITED PBEBB ASSOCIATION. Uhbistchubch, September 29. A sad accident is reported from Leeaton. Three children of Mr Dong. lag's were playing on a straw stack this afternoon, and one of them, whm. had some matches, set fire to th* straw. Though assistance was close at hand, and two of the children were dragged frdm the burning straw, the flames had got too great a hold for it to be possible to save the third child, a little boy three years old, who was burned to death.
