Wanganui Education Board

At the meeting of the Education Board held at Wanganui on Tuesday last, the following, among other business, was transacted:— Upper Taonui.— £s granted for th« erection of a porch. Palmerston. — Application for shelter shed, and promising to pay part of cost by school committee.— Declined. TerraceEud.— Application for school requisites and improvements.—-Requi-sites granted, and a detailed estimate of cost of improvements to be required. Halcombe. — Letter suggesting the appointment of truant inspector, and enclosing an account for school requirements, swings, and cleaning gutters, as the committee is out of fund*. — Referred back to committee. School Furniture.— Moved by Mr Bridge, That the head teacher* be requested to furnish the Board with an inventory of articles of school f urnitur* now in use.— Seconded by Mr Carson, and carried. .
