An Important Native Meeting.
[PEB TOUTED PBEBS ASSOCIATION.] \ ■ Wklmhgtoh. Sept. 30. A large meeting of the natives r«-. siding on the East Coast of this island and in the neighbourhood of the Hot Lakes, district will be held in about* month for the purpose of considering the land question, and the advisability of passing their lands through the Native Lands s Court. A number of Wtiikato natives are averse, toiputtiop their lands through the court, and are, endeavouring t> influence others to the same' way- of • thinking. Thb meeting will be held either at Taupa or Kotorua.
