At midnight on the 28th, Frank Fergusson an A.fi', fell from the upper top yard, breaking his left leg and several ribs. He was attended by Dr Martin, a passenger. At 11 a.m. on the Ist, a whirlwind passed tbe ship, but did no damnge. Mr Goulter's ram, Grand Prince, rained at 262 guineas, was lost.
Chbistchubch, This Day. J. Hebben, editor of tbe Canterbury Times, injured by an accident on July 22nd, died from his injuries late last night. He was connected with the office for over 20 years, and was only 43 years of age. A whare at Pigeon Bay, occupied by an old man named Pierre Bermadel was burned down on Sunday. Bermandel's body was discovered amoncr the debris.
