Anniversary Committee
The principal business of toe Anniversary Committee last night was the reeepi tion of tenders for privileges. An offer of £15 for the gates was declined, and the committee resolved to keep this privilege in their own hands. A tender from Mr John Belk to put np his swing boat I was accepted. The following tenders for the exclnsive privilege of selling refreshmeats on the Sports Ground and in the Town Hall were openeH:-Mr McGlashan, £4 10s ; Messrs Summers and Maybew, £3 3s; Mr Morris, £3. The tender of Mr McGlashan was accepted. Several officers for the day were appointed, Mr Gosling, senior, being the starter of the events. Mr J. W. Eade was added to committee and appointed treasurer. The liext meeting is to be at the Town Hall on Saturday next, at 8 p.m., when the ladies and gentlemen who intend to take part in the concert wM practice.
