The - evidence showed that the woman had ' other children under her, care, noit of whom had died. The jury returned a> verdict that the child died from natural causes, and added a rider aa follow* t — " That ;the iury learn |from the eri- , dence that something rery much akin tobaby farming exists in Dunedin, and they 1 are therefore of opinion that the Legit* latnre should pass an Act similar t» that in the Home Country, whereby proper prcrision should be made and license* issued in cases where children are pat out to nurse.
