Bryce, Williamson, Bellve, and Da-vies. The minutes of the last ordinary meeting were read and confirmed. The Chairman read the report from the returning officer pf the result of the polU ing held at i. heltenham under the Boads and Bridges Construction Act. Several letters were read from persons requesting alterations of names, &&, on rate roll, and 1 a resolution was passed that «aeh request hie granted. Accounts were presented amounting to £29 12s Bd/aad these were passed tor payment. Watttetf "Williamson called attention to the Cheltenham Cross Boad, and after discussion, in which each Warden expreised tit* desirableness of the road being made,- it was resolved, That the <slerk write to the Oroua County Council, 4ad ask i£ they hare had any notification from the Gorernment as to scheduling the Cheltenham Cross Road, aud if any ■aoney will be available for this work. A ballot WM then taken for the retire;iaent of two members of the Board, in : acVwrdance with ihe Act/preparatory to tte election in May next, and the result was the retirement of Messrs Bellve and Dariei. ••_... : . . ■;■.■ .... .'■■■ This eldaed the ordinary business. A special meeting of the Board was afterwards held for ; the purpose of striking, a special rate,' pursuant to the polling iheld wilder the Eoads and Bridges Conitructiott Act, Preseut— Messrs Taylor (chairman), W)lliamson, ; Davies and Bellve.
