A most disastrous explosion occurred at the Monk field Colliery, Acerington, near Blackburn, Lancashire. According to the latest news to hand fully a hundred men are entombed in the mine, and it is feared all have perished. London, October 7 (Evening). Latest ieports tiom Acerington state the entombed miners is Monkfield colliery have been rescued.
