Manchester Read Board
An adjourned meeting of the Manchester Eoad Board wr.s held on Saturday, October 20lh. Present — Messrs Mscarthur (chairman). Linton, Jones, Cotter, and Bailey. Letter received from Mr HosentbaJ, requesting the Board to allow him to ■withdraw his tenders for Taonui, Valley, Midland, Spur and Bunnjthorpe road, and agreeing to forfeit his deposit on the Spur road if the Board would grant his : request. Resolved, That Mr K. fioscathal's request be granted. fiesolved. That tke following tenders be accepted :— Junction road, J. Purkis, £3296 15s 6d ; WUsou'r road. Younger and Laing, £162 7s 6d; Wakara road, Managh and iVeilsoa, £1298 16s 3d; Taonui road, J. T. Bray, £182 i 19s ; Valley and Midland ro:id, E. Meneies £2318108; Bunnythorpe roar 1 , Youn^c and Laing. £6i9 19s; Spur road, J. T. Bray, £4617 6s 6d ; Whibky's ro>id, O'Hara aad Gordaiv, £39C 6s 6d ; Mangaone road, O'H^ra and Gordan, £896 ; TTlysses' road. O' lf ara and Gordan, £1568 16s; Jones' road, J. Purkifi, £506.
