Feilding Cheese and Butter Factory.

A meeting of, the provisional director* of the Feilding Cneese and Butter Factory was held iv the office of Messrs Halcombe aad Sherwill.Feilding, on Tuesday. Present — Messrs Macarthur, Sherwill, Bartholomew, Saxon, Fry, Dawson, aud Jennings, Mr Macarthur in the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. In answer to questions, it was dieted that there were 761 shares on which deposits amounting to £190 6s had been paid to the credit of the proposed company's account at the Bank of Australasia, 105 shares applied for but bo deposits paid thereon, 32 on Mr Corpe's list as probable, and 145 held by soid* of the direotors on which the deposit* had not been paid, making a total of 1,013 shares. Several gentlemen expressed an opinion that the canvassers had not don* their duty. The Chairman said that by the resolution the subscribers for shares could do as they wished -either break up the affair or commence again de novo. A latter from Mr Banks, Kiwitea, to M r Saxon was read, in connection with establishing a creamery at Kiwitea, and offering to do what he could for' the furtherance of the proposed company! Mr SherwiU said they laboured under a great difficulty in not having practical men amongsb them.
