Remarkable Death.

■♦ An inqnest was recently held by Mr Lewis, Essex Coroner, on Miss Anna Francis Arkwrigbt, 55, at Mark Hall, near Harlow, her residence. The deceased, who was a lady of position and much respected, died on Satuaday afternoon •within half an hour of a wasp stinging the little finger of her right hand. She had been stung several times before, and was very nervous about it. Deceased made no statement as to whore or how she was stung, bnt wben her maid, in answer to the bell ringing, went to her bedroom she told her to look on her dressskirt and in her pocket. Ihe maid found a wasp in the .pocket, and killed it. Deceased fainted directly afterwards, and never recovered consciousness. Mr Day, surgeon, said death ensued from syncope, produced from excessive pain caused by having been stung by a wasp. Verdiof accordingly.
