William Watts, a bushman, fell over the Coromandel wharf last night, at dusk, and was drowned. Constable Burns, while persuing a supposed burglar this morning over a Queen street verandah, fell through the skylight, breaking his arm. • . Napikb. This Day. During the storm on Saturday a trolly with two men was blown over an emT>ankmcnt on the railway, and the coach was upset on the Petane Beach, bat no one <vas seriously injured. A roan named Bands was killed on the Petane Hill on Saturday night, by his team and dray going over the side of a precipice. ; At the inquest on the body of the little girl killed on the railway at Pakipakithe jury returned a verdict of "Accidental death." The father of the child in his evidence stated thatno blame was attached to the railway officials.
