Bunnythorpe (Taonui) School.
The following children were fortunate enough to secure passes in their yarkrot standards at the examination held by Mr Foulis on Tuesday last :— Standard VI : Johanna Prendergast. 342 (oat of a possible 450)^ Ellen Prendergast, 326.—Standard IV: Louisa Sexton. 272; Jane Bailey, 261.— Standard III: William Prendergast. William Bailey, John Beade, | Alicia Pcendergast and Elizabeth Bailey. I —Standard II : James Prendergast, Thomas Johanson, Norman Christensen and George Bourne. Standard I: John Welsh, Thomas Curtis, Fred. Johanson, Ben. Parkes, James Whisker, Isabel Thompson, Ethel Thompson, Sophia Bailey, Stephen Bailey, ttose Pawson and Kate Baker. I his represents a total • of 96 per cent, on those presented. *Mr Foulis expressed his great satisfaction at the work done in the infant room, which has been under the charge of the cadet teacher, Miss Ellen Prendergast, who also deserves credit for having passed the sixth standard with so large a number of marks, in spite of half her time each day being occupied in teaching.
