Feilding Borough Council.

• A special meeting of the Council was beld in the Council Chamber yesterday at 10 am. Present — The Mayor, and Councillors, Rutherford, Fowles, Thompson, Sherwill, Kichardson, Goodbehere, and Higgin. The Aiajor explained that the object of the meeting was to mate further arrangements for floating the Borough Loan. | After a short conversational discussion, it was unanimously, Resolved on the motion of Cr Goodbehere, seconded by Cr Thompson, That the Mayor and Cr Sherwill be requesteJ to ask the agent of the Emigrant and Colonists' Aid Corporation if they would be willing to make any, and if any, what advance to the Borough Council in respect of the Loan of £6,000 authorised to be raised by them. This being the whole of the business the Council then rose.
