BEUTKQ'a TELEGHAMS. Melbottbke, Augnstp6 White, the Melbourne absconder, who was arrested here to-day, was on board the steamer Lady Bowen, and had taken a passage to Brisbane. He was subsequently brought up at the policecourt and remanded for a week. Mr Bedmoad, the Home Ruler, delivered a farewell lecture here this erening prior to his departure for New Zealand. Received August 18, 1 a.m.] Melboijbne, August 17. Arrived — This evening* the Union Steamship Wairarapa from the Bluff. Sydney, August 17. Martini Henry is now first favorite for the Sydney Derby.
