Feilding School Committee.

.*>_ A meeting of the Feilding State School Committee was held on Friday evening. Present -Messrs Thompson (in the chair) Towler, Worsfold, Bray and Waty*The special business of the meeting was to consider the applications received through the Secretary of the Board, for the vacancies on the teaching staff of the school. After considerable discussion it was decided to retain two applications until the visit of the members of the Board, who are to enquire into Mrs Browne's case. The following propositions were carried:— That the Chairman, after consulting with the master, apply to the Secretary of the Board for Johnson's National School Board series of illustrations of Natural Philosophy. That the accounts for firewood, 465, and the erection of the bell tower, £5 Bs, be passed tor payment. The meeting then conclnded.
