Kiwitea Works.
At a meeting of the County Council held at Foxton on Friday last, it was resolved that Mr Bray be ir'-'rncted to call for tenders for works to be done on Makay's-road, and Kimbolton-road, Kiwitea, as far as the grant « '1 go, in accordance with the Eoadi a*ul Bridges Construction Act ; ♦enders to be in by next meeting, to be let in three or more contracts. It was also resolved that Mr Bray call for tenders for the completion of the formation of the Fitzherbert-road East, the same to be let in two contracts ; for the completion of the formation of the Fitzherbert-road West, so far as the work hat been laid off, the same to be let in four contracts ; for t l( e construction of a bridge over the K ritea Stream in the ■ame road, and also the formation of the Palmerston-Bunnythor" -road, commencing at the borough br -.dary, so far as the money granted wilt go, tenders to be in by the next meeting. It was resolved the 2 years licence fees paid by the proprietor of the Halcombe Hotel to the Council, be handed over to the the Halcombe Town Board. The above was all the business of particular imlere»t to this part of the district.
