Manchester Road Board.

♦ At the first meeting of the new Board held on Sturday last, Mr Macarthur was elected chairman, and having been duly elected for Nos. 4 and 6 Wards, he declared his intention of retaining lii« seat for No. 4 which he has represented from the constitution of the Board in 1874. It was resolved, "That Mr. H. P. Jones' name be inserted in f v e valuarion roll for 120 acres, part section 3, F.i'vdivision B, valued at £600, in No. ii <vurd* and his valuation in No. 3 W«'- 4 altered to correspond." ItWM also resolved, "That this board meet on the £rst Saturday in every month, at 2 p.m." The ordinary monthly accounts were then passed, and the bonrd adjourned.
