He pleaded that he ; could not earn enough by his . trade of watchmaking to support him- ' self and family. It was stated in Court that daring the last six months, one per cent, of the declarations filed by insolvent labourers and small storekeepers were done by the accused-, and 70 per cent by irregular practitioners.
