MANCHESTER FOOTBALL CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Club was held at the Denbigh Hotel on Thursday evening last, Mr Sherwill, the president, in the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. On the motion of Mr Jackson, seconded by Mr Kirton, a vote of thanks' was accorded to the retiring officers. , ? The balance-sheet for the past year was read and adopted. ; Mr Sherwill was again elected Presi* dent, and Mr E. Goodbehere Secretary. Messrs Thompson, Dawson, and Fred Hoe were appointed a managing committee. ' . It was decided that the amount of the annual subscription be ss. The following is a list of the gentlemen who became members for the ensuing year, viz., Messrs Sherwill, Goodbehere, Kirton, Jackson, F. Hoe, Taunt, Hill, Thompson, Dawson, Harris, Fearon, H. Halcombe, Godfrey, Gregory, Poole, Simmons, C. Halcombe, C Bray, Seaton, F. Rowley. The question of the uniform was left '■ in the hands of the managing committee. The first match of the season will be' played ou Saturday, the 21st instant, on the cricket ground. A vote of thanks to the President terminated the proceedings.
