THKESHING CORN BY ELECTRICITY.
At an agricultural gathering recently held at Lundenburg, in Germany, some interesting experiments were made in the use of electricity instead of steam, for the threshing of whe>.t. M. M . Piette and KrizUc lit up electrically the space reserved for machines, and at the time utilised the current to drive an ordinary threshing machine. The cylinder of this machine attained a speed of 1,400 turns a minute. .
