CORRESPONDENCE.
I THE ENGLISH FAYEE.
TO THE KDITOR OF THE FEUDING STAE. Sir, - Tli ere 10 nothing in " Liberty's" ' letter calling for reply, except the sentence or tyro at the end. But the very fact that people need recreation, and will flock in especially large numbers to an entertainment provided by a Church, ought to make orery Church exceedingly ! careful that any entertainment they provide shall be free from reproach- As to your footnote, Mr Editor, I remember • i haviD£ .seen it stated in the papers that g^ the ISapier Wesleyans weae having the same " Fayre" some time ago. More shame to them, they ought to have had more sense and consistency than so to insult our holy religion. But since we have seen and known the nature of the " Fayre," the fact of its success in Napier has been a sufficient explanation to ninny in Feilding of another fact, at which we wondered when we saw it in your columns, viz., that Mrs Hampson's mission was a failure. — I am. &c, SoBBOWFOTn
