THE MAKINO ELOPEMENT.
ARREST OF WAKEFIELD. Nelson, This Day. Thc police recently received a warrant for the apprehension of a man named Wakefield, charged with the larceny of two trunks of clothing, the property of Richard Robinson, whose wife followed Wakefield. Wakefield and Mrs Robinson went to the house of a sister of the former, and represented they were man and wife. Great indignation was caused when the police arrested Wakefield. The prisoner was remanded to Feilding.
