BEN ALLAH at THE TOWN HALL
Ben Allah, ventriloquist and professor ■of legerdemain, gave a performance in th<* Town Hall on Thursday evening. Although not a full house, there was a good attendance, especially of the younger portion of the community, who appeared •delighted with the performance, showing ttheir appreciation of the many clever and »musing tricks by xoars of laughter and rounds of applause. Owing to the com. jjaratrve smalhress of the audience, it was announced before the co-ntnencement of the performance that there would be no presentations, and that any persons who felt disappointed en tl at ground, might Teiire, and they would tie refunded their payment of admission. No one, however, expressed dissatisfaction, all apparently being bent on amusement alone, which they evidently did »ot fail to receive. "We believe that many more woukl have ' been present but for the anticipation of * more novel and popular entertainment which comes off next week.
